
Women Reporting from the Global Frontlines
Thanks to a generous grant from the Global Fund for Women, we’ll be kicking off WAM!2009 Friday night with an extraordinary panel of women journalists who’ve reported from some of the most dangerous conflicts in the world, including Huda Ahmed, recognized by Knight Ridder for extraordinary bravery in in covering combat during the siege of Najaf in Southern Iraq, Peta Thornycroft, one of the few remaining independent journalists in Zimbabwe, and Jenny Manrique Cortes, Columbian journalist and Elizabeth Neuffer Fellow 2008-2009.
