Effective Outreach Strategies for Increasing Diversity within Your Organization
his session starts at 11:00 AM and runs 5 hours including lunch. Only $65.
We all want to build stronger and more unified organizations, create more effective marketing campaigns, retain a diverse staff, and forge meaningful connections within our different social groups; so many of us understand the need for diversity, but very few of us have learned ‘how’ to achieve it. Learning the skills required to becoming a more efficient leader/implementer of recruitment and diversity initiatives will prove valuable to us, both professionally and personally.
Participants in this workshop will be led through short presentations by each of the panelists on their take on ‘diversity’ within their organization, including an outline of the steps they have taken (both successful and unsuccessful) to increase diversity.
This will be followed by a series of short break-out sessions to facilitate collaborative brainstorming about the different milestones that will be presented as necessary to implementing effective outreach strategies.
Finally, there will be a very short Q&A, during which the panelists (and volunteering members of the audience) will present and address any outstanding concerns. In addition to session overview handouts, participants will hopefully walk away from the session with a high-level, yet customized draft of an outreach/retention plan, which they can flesh out in their respective offices.
