Target: Women's Funny Feminist
Saturday, March 28 @ 8:00PM
MIT’s Stata Center, 32 Vassar Street, Cambridge
Sorry - this event is sold out. There may be a few tickets at the door. First come, first served, no promises.
Sarah is a Second City alum whose Target: Women segments skewering media aimed at women have taken the internet by storm. And she’ll be taking WAM!2009 by storm, too, with a live interactive performance and talk Saturday night at 8PM - free with your Conference Registration!
Check out some of her finest work here, and a great interview with Haskins here.
Sarah Haskins is a writer and performer for the Current TV show “infoMania.” Her segment on the show, “Target Women” satirizes the broad brushstrokes of marketing and advertising aimed at women. The segment has gained a popular following on the internet. Despite this, Sarah’s Mom still wants her to go to law school. Probably nothing will ever convince Sarah’s Mom to think differently.
Sarah’s background is in comedy and she hails from Chicago. She performed and directed at i.O. (formerly Improv Olympic) and saw many of America’s finest Applebee’s while performing with The Second City Touring Company. Sarah attended Harvard University, where she tricked them into giving her a degree in American History and Literature.
