Joya in Concert
Free Soul/Hip-Hop/R&B concert with reception
Wednesday, May 16 @ 7:00PM
Joya in Concert (hosted by Bao Tran '10) will represent Soul, HipHop, R&B with a fierce live band, original music, MIT dancers, poets, & musicians, guest band Gutter Music Project, & You.
Artist Info: The unique neo-soul sound of Joya Abbott-Graves (singer, songwriter) fuses the smoothness of r&b, the power of rock, the ease of jazz and the drive of hipHop. With the ill beats of SimmyB (vocal percussion, electronix) and the sweet, smart vibe of C.J. Azubuine (vocals, rhymes), The Joya Band is soul music at its best. www.joya-music.com, www.myspace.com/joyamusic, www.myspace.com/guttermusicproject
