
Annual 5K Walk
Boston Area Rape Crisis Center hosting 5K walk for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC) is kicking off Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April by hosting the Second Annual Benefit Walk on Sunday, April 1st, 2007. This year's theme is 'Supporting Survivors, Ending Rape, One Step at A Time,' and the event will raise community awareness about sexual assault in addition to generating much-needed funds to support BARCC's services.
The event is from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and will start and finish at Canal Park, next to CambridgeSide Galleria. Registration is from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, and walking begins at 11:00 am. Registration fees are $20 to walk as an individual; $10 to walk as a member of a team (minimum of four people per team); $5 additional for walking your dog (or any animal, as long as it is on a leash). Prizes will be awarded to the highest-fundraising individuals and teams. To register online or to set up an online fundraising page, go to www.firstgiving.com/barcc.
