Art Exhibit Opening Reception

The Hadassah-Brandeis Institute (HBI) at Brandeis University will showcase "Hannah Frank: A Jewish Artist of Glasgow," the premiere U.S. exhibition of iconic Scottish and Jewish artist Hannah Frank's drawings and sculpture. The show also marks the beginning of a year-long celebration of the Institute's 10th anniversary. 98-year old Frank is known for her black and white drawings in which elongated white bodies contrast against a dense black background, as well as her sensuous sculpture of the human form. The exhibition will be on display from Friday, Jan. 19 through Friday, April 6. There will be an opening reception at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Women's Studies Research Center, Kniznick Gallery, 515 South St., Waltham, Mass. The gallery is open 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday - Friday and by appointment. Admission is free.
