Introduction to Havurat Shalom
Learn the havurah's history, style of services, membership, etc, followed by services + dinner.
Friday, September 15 @ 6:00PM
What are our services like? Do you have to buy tickets for the High Holidays? What are the demographics of our membership? Are the potluck meals kosher? Why does our liturgical Hebrew sound so odd?
ALL - well, ok, MANY mysteries of Havurat Shalom will be revealed in this class taught by genuine havurah members.
Come meet havurah members and learn about the inner workings of Havurat Shalom. Stay for services. Then join us for dinner after services - a great opportunity to meet more members. Or, come to any part of this evening designed to make davening (praying) at Havurat Shalom user-friendly.
The 1st floor of Havurat Shalom is wheelchair accessible, including the prayer room, dining room, living room, and bathroom. For the health of those with allergies and chemical sensitivities, we request that you not wear perfume, aftershave, or cologne to Havurat Shalom. TTY users can call Ruth Bork at 617-373-2675 TTY only.
