Which Is The Nice Doll?
Kiri Davis, only 17, recently made a documentary film in which she recreated a 50-year-old psych study by asking African American children which doll was they preferred. The catch? The dolls are identical, except that one is white, and one is black.
Check it out here.
Kiri is our new hero!

Wow!!! As a 31 year old who grew up in the 80's my mom made it her personal mission to make sure we understood that black was beautiful and in watching the video it made me realize that even now despite my mother's words and what the media flashed before my eyes still won. In watching the children choose it made me realize that even now deep down I still feel the way they do. I hope this will open people's eyes (especially advertisers, etc) that we are all beautiful and a variety of images should display that.
