Over 10 years after he was tried for two murders in the “Trial of the Century” that captured the attention of the world, O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes. Noted publisher Judith Regan will talk with Simpson in a wide-ranging, no-holds-barred interview that will be the basis of a two-part special, O.J. SIMPSON: IF I DID IT, HERE’S HOW IT HAPPENED (working title), airing Monday, Nov. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesday, Nov. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
No, you read that right. And what’s more, it’s lead-in publicity for a book by the same name. It’s… hard to know what to say about it. So, if he’s innocent, as he’s claimed, then he’s making money and headlines by speculating exactly how murdering the mother of his children would go down? And Fox and HarperCollins have no qualms about making money off this exhibitionist psychopath? Do we really live in a world where this is OK? Where it’s entertainment? I think I just threw up a little bit…

This one "project" may have pushed at the edges, provoked a reaction and been canned, but the answer to both your questions is a resounding "YES!". Look at the TV schedule for any evening. Look what passes for news. Corporate media is helping to desensitize most of an entire nation and it is not a pretty picture. Solutions to the problem? I really think they lie with the blogs and with like media. Keep chipping away. Keep speaking truth to power. You may see a change in your life time.
