That’s the current ratio of men to women writers in national “general interest” magazines, according to the handy website WomenTK, which is solely devoted to tracking these things. That’s almost three articles by men to every one by a woman in The Atlantic, Harper’s, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. The worst offender is Harper’s, coming in at a whopping 6.92 male bylines for every female one.
