Where's the Bookstore?
After 28 years in business, New Words Bookstore closed its doors on October 6, 2002 and, with enormous community support, wrapped its mission into the nonprofit Center for New Words. Our future plans include a new bookstore as part of the expanded Center. In the meantime, there are many great resources you can turn to for feminist and woman-friendly books. They include:
Books to Watch Out For
Keep up with all the latest and greatest in feminist and/or lesbian books with these enewsletters, published by Carol Seajay, former editor and director of Feminist Bookstore News.
Women & Children First
One of the largest feminist bookstores in the country. Check them out online for staff recommendations and all your shopping needs, or stop by in person when you’re in Chicago. When you start your online shopping using the link above, a percentage of every purchase goes to support CNW!
Amazon Bookstore Cooperative
The ORIGINAL Amazon Bookstore. The oldest feminist bookstore in the country, with staff picks, new releases and more all on line.
ThirdSpace

BookSense
